Enhance Your Garden with Landscape Rocks

Landscaping rocks come in all shapes, sizes and colors and are a great “new” idea to allow your personality to show through in the design of your garden. Whilst rocks have been used for landscaping for many years, their use has been reinvented in particular with river rocks. You may choose to use natural rocks or artificial rocks in that “perfect” shape, but where can you find them?

The Millennium Goals brought about a great wave of change to the ways in which countries go about conducting their internal and external policies – the UK included. Paradoxically Goal 7, which strives to alert countries to the importance of ensuring environmental sustainability, has been shrouded in controversy. While many perceive it as an idealistic stab at launching a green revolution, no individual has volunteered to take up the sword of microgeneration and lead the rest in to battle, rather looking at governments to take action.

Recycled Countertops For Your Kitchen

There are many materials that can be used to make eco friendly countertops. There are recycled glass countertops, recycled wood countertops, bamboo counter tops, aluminum countertops, and combinations of many other materials to make up countertops.

There are colorful recycled glass and cement countertops. The glass is mixed into cement, concrete, or a resin base. The colors can be changed to meet your specifications. Glass can be used from waste water streams. The cement can be mixed with fly ash, which is a byproduct of burning coal. This ash would end up in landfills if it were not being recycled in this way. By doing this it will reduce greenhouse gas created by cement manufacturing.
