When it comes time to finish your project you need to know that for wood treatments it is either stain, paints or finish. They are each providing a different outcome. To tint the wood you would use wood stains. Paints sit on the wood and protect it. Some finishes are pretty much paint without any color added to it. They are the ones that give that clear protection.

Some people look down on mass produced products, but mass production is not necessarily a bad thing. It allows us to buy the products we want at affordable prices. And it makes sure those products are generally available when and where we need them. But some things are just better hand made, and that’s why antiques actually seem to be gaining in popularity.

You’ll find antiques just look better, and certainly antique picture frames are like this. You can show off those old photos or pieces of art in any frame, but use an antique frame and you will immediately notice a difference far and above any mass produced frame. You’ll be drawing attention to them, and just making them look more impressive.

Information for Cleaning Leather & Leather Products

A good starting point for cleaning leather is to determine if your leather item is finished or unfinished. In general finished leather items will have a shiny or smooth surface which may be luggage, garments, handbags, wallets, or garments. Unfinished leather and suede usually have a natural dull finish or nappy finish like saddlery, work boots and shoes or sport gloves etc.

Purchase good leather cleaner and rub it into the leather in even circular motions. After using the cleaner use a leather conditioner. Leather Balm with Atom Wax Leather Conditioner is an excellent dressing, which will clean, soften, and condition leather. Saddle soap is not recommended for use on a leather couch is too harsh for furniture.

We all had to do it when we went to school right? For some us though that was a while back and we may be a bit rusty when it comes to basic math. It really is not all that difficult and it doesn?t take long to figure out once you get past the panic stage. This is the stage when you go to look for the measurement your pattern calls for and its not specifically marked on the ruler.
