Picking the Right Baby Crib Bedding

by Dorothea Frankson

First, I think it is important to talk about something that parents might forget. Crib bedding (especially girl baby bedding!) is the focal point of the nursery and cute beyond words. You need to realize, though, that there are suffocation risks associated with infant bedding. To prevent this, it’s advised to use a firm mattress with tight-fitting sheets.

When your baby is sleeping, be sure to keep the crib clear of stuffed animals, pillows, and even blankets. In cold weather, dress your infant in a sleep sack or warm clothes, but do not use a blanket.

Bedding sets are the way to go for most parents – it makes choosing the bedding much simpler. There has been a boom in character-themed sets, but many parents are still opting for less commercial choices, like

To make things easy on yourself, be sure to figure out generally what you’re looking for, before you begin your hunt for crib bedding. What theme have you chosen? Will the bedding match the crib you’ve chosen? What color are you painting the walls? Will the bedding clash? You will need to think about all of these factors before you start looking.

The Internet is a wonderful place for finding just the right baby bedding. If you’re having trouble deciding, just check out a couple of different stores and you’ll have lots of ideas. If you don’t want the nursery to be a money pit, you are going to have to look for a deal.

To find the best prices, look online instead of in department stores. The easiest way to be sure is to go to a department store and check their prices, but don’t be surprised if they’re significantly higher than ecommerce stores.
