« Improve Your Home With Landscaping And Mulch Concrete Polishing and Ceramic Tiles – A Comparison »
Cleaning grout is a precise sort of science. It requires the precision of professional grout cleaners, and it needs consistent cleaning to be able to work as well as it should. I do not recommend any of the homebrew remedies that are patronized by a number of people. I do not believe there is a magical solution to clean grout. Vinegar is not a good idea. Better to keep it in the kitchen where it belongs.
That being said, my belief in itself does not prevent people all over the Internet to claim that a certain method works like a charm. Here’s the trick here; they may be effective in certain types of grout, but grout itself has a lot of subdivisions. You can’t rightly say that a certain homebrew solution will work on all grout; not unless you’ve had experience with cleaning multiple types.
So it should be logical that you should call in a professional grout cleaner if you want good grout cleaning advice. But then, if you’re going to be talking to a professional cleaner, why not just get them to clean the grout for you? I can guarantee that they’ll know what they’re doing, and will be able to clean the grout much better than you can even on a good day. It’s simply a matter of entrusting a vital task to the people with know-how; the same way you wouldn’t give your accounts to anyone other than a CPA.
Take note, it’s not like they have to clean your grout every single day; just once in a couple of months will do the trick. Bathroom grout becomes dirty a bit faster than most, so you may want to maintain it in between professional cleanings by doing minor maintenance yourself. But, in the end, you really just need their help once you feel the dirty grout problem is getting out of hand.
Again, cleaning grout is not an art. It’s not something that can be done by guesswork. You have to clean it by tried and tested methods, and if you do, you’ll never be plagued by filthy grout again.
